UART

Serial control interface

A serial communication path often used for camera control commands.

What it means

UART describes an asynchronous serial interface. Module documentation determines the command protocol, baud rate, framing and required electrical levels.

UART logic signals are not the same electrical interface as RS232 or RS422. A module’s TX/RX directions and voltage limits must be read from the matching pin definition.

In practice

Integration note

Confirm logic voltage and signal direction before wiring. SuperMini documentation specifies a 1.8 V UART logic level.
