NUC
Correction that reduces response differences between detector pixels.
What it means
Real detector pixels do not have identical responses. Non-uniformity correction compensates for these differences to reduce fixed-pattern structure in the image.
NUC can use stored correction data and updated references. Some cameras obtain a uniform reference by moving a shutter in front of the detector, which may briefly interrupt fresh scene acquisition.
In practice
Check correction timing and image behaviour under changing module temperature, especially when continuous fresh frames matter.
