RAW thermal data
A product-specific numerical data path whose meaning must be read from the format definition.
What it means
RAW describes a data path with less processing than a selected display image, but it is not a universal format. It may contain grayscale samples, corrected signal values or another documented representation.
A numerical grayscale word is not automatically a calibrated Celsius value. Its interpretation depends on the firmware, gain mode, calibration data and SDK.
In practice
Request the exact word layout, bit significance, endianness, metadata and conversion procedure for the delivered firmware.
