Power rails
The voltage supplies, sequencing and noise limits required by a core or adapter board.
What it means
A bare thermal core can require several supply rails even when an optional USB adapter uses one input. Core power requirements and adapter input ratings must be read separately.
Power pins, logic signals and wide-range adapter inputs have different limits. Ground references, ripple requirements and startup sequencing are product-specific.
In practice
Follow the matched wiring guide. Do not apply an adapter’s wide-range supply rating to USB power or to a signal pin.
