HARDWARE INTEGRATION
Choose the connection.
Plan the assembly.
21 × 21 mm digital core
A compact format using the same detector and imaging design as the 26 mm core. Choose from 4.6, 9.1, 15 or 19 mm optics. This size is offered as a digital core only.
26 × 26 mm USB or network
The larger core supports 9.1, 15, 19, 25, 35 and 50 mm lenses, including larger optics. Type-C UVC USB is the configuration selected on this page.

QUESTIONS BEFORE INTEGRATION
ThermoCore 640 FAQ.
Can this 25 Hz radiometric module output 14-bit or 16-bit RAW data over USB?
Yes. The supplier confirms USB output of original 14-bit or 16-bit RAW data for this module. Request the matched SDK, sample capture and pixel-packing information for your selected configuration.
Can automatic gain control be disabled?
Yes. The supplier specifies SDK AGC levels from 0 to 5. Setting the AGC level to 0 disables automatic gain control.
Can I download a RAW sample file and Linux format list?
Use the SDK & sample data enquiry below to request these from CAMCUDA. A RAW sample file and verified Linux capture-format list have not been supplied for download. Share your Linux distribution, host hardware and required RAW bit depth.
What image formats and resolutions are listed?
The datasheet lists MJEG at 640 × 512 or 1280 × 720, and YUV2 at 640 × 512, 640 × 514 or 640 × 1026, all at 25 fps. These are the manual’s labels; request the exact Linux/V4L2 FourCC, packing, byte order and SDK mode mapping for your application.
Does a 16-bit RAW value directly represent a temperature?
Not necessarily. RAW pixel output and converted temperature values are different data products. Use the matched radiometric SDK and its conversion instructions for temperature processing.
Which temperature functions are included in this listing?
This listing is for the radiometric version. The specified measurement range is −20°C to +150°C, with full-screen maximum and minimum temperature location and a center temperature display. Measurement accuracy is not specified in the supplied datasheet.
Which USB connector is supplied?
The configurations listed here use Type-C USB. The 26 × 26 mm model can also be supplied as a network-output core by enquiry; that is a separate configuration. The 21 × 21 mm model is a digital core only.
What is supplied with the module?
One radiometric ThermoCore 640 module with the selected core size, lens and a Type-C USB connector. Confirm any required cables, adapters or enclosure with CAMCUDA.
Which lens configurations are available?
The 21 × 21 mm core supports 4.6, 9.1, 15 and 19 mm lenses. The 26 × 26 mm core supports 9.1, 15, 19, 25, 35 and 50 mm lenses. Select the core size first to see its compatible optics. Existing 26 mm core prices are unchanged; shared focal lengths use the same price for the 21 mm core.
Is this the same module as AeroMini 640?
No. ThermoCore 640 is a separate module with its own detector, dimensions, interfaces and radiometric configuration. The USB RAW output and AGC statements on this page do not change the specifications or availability of AeroMini 640.
What should I include in an integration enquiry?
Send the core size, lens, output interface, required RAW bit depth, host hardware, operating system and quantity. For network output, specify the 26 × 26 mm core and ask for its matched integration documentation.
What is the lead time for the 35 mm configuration?
The 26 × 26 mm core with a 35 mm lens is made to order with a lead time of 35 working days. The 26 mm core with 9.1, 25 or 50 mm optics is in stock. Availability and lead times for newly added configurations are confirmed by enquiry.
How do the 21 mm and 26 mm cores differ?
They use the same detector and imaging design. With the same 9.1 mm lens, the distinction is the 21 × 21 mm versus 26 × 26 mm core size. The 26 mm core also accommodates larger lenses and can be configured for network output. The 21 mm core supports digital output and the four smaller lenses listed above.
