Camera rates describe the listed imaging configuration. External video output, connectors and firmware depend on the selected hardware. TOPS alone does not measure image quality or recognition accuracy.

02 / PLAN YOUR VIEW

Turn field of view into scene coverage.

Choose a configuration and enter the distance from the camera to a plane perpendicular to its optical axis. Compare its visible and thermal views side by side.

Coverage is an ideal geometric estimate. It is not an AI recognition range, identification distance or temperature-measurement specification. Ground coverage changes with camera tilt and terrain.

METHOD & EXAMPLES

A small calculation with a useful distinction.

The calculation

Scene width = 2 × distance × tan(horizontal FOV / 2)

Use vertical FOV for scene height. Image width divided by scene width gives nominal horizontal image samples per metre. The calculator converts feet to metres before calculating.

For VisionCube D at 100 m, the 72° wide view covers about 145.3 m across; the 26° telephoto view covers about 46.2 m. These are separate fixed optical views.

How the shortlist works

A configuration must satisfy every selected filter. Thermal “384 or higher” includes the listed 384 and 640 configurations. The 640 option includes only 640 × 512 models.

If you request two visible cameras and at least 60 Hz, the current catalog has no match. The tool keeps that gap visible so you can change a requirement or discuss another configuration.

Thermal-equipped models listed here provide imaging. For calibrated temperatures, include the required range, accuracy and calibration in your enquiry.

Questions about the selector

Does the tool predict object recognition distance?

No. It calculates field-of-view coverage from the listed optics. AI recognition depends on the object, imagery, model and operating conditions.

Does “Dual 640” mean two visible cameras?

No. AI Track Dual 640 has one visible camera and one thermal camera. VisionCube D, DT and DT Pro have two visible cameras.

Why are camera and external video rates different?

The camera supplies an image to the processing system. The delivered external stream depends on output format, hardware and configuration; its rate is specified separately.

Can I send the result with an enquiry?

Yes. Use “Ask about this configuration” to carry your selected model and coverage inputs into the CAMCUDA enquiry form. You can also copy or download the summary.
