FAQ / Help Center
Fast answers for thermal camera lens FOV selection, documents, and RFQ preparation.
Find practical answers for HR21 thermal camera lens FOV planning, UAV thermal imaging camera projects, interfaces, NDAA requests, and B2B buying workflows.
Selection
Thermal camera lens FOV and application questions.
How should we choose lens focal length?
Choose focal length from target distance, required horizontal/vertical scene coverage, payload size, and application. If the viewing distance or scene width is not final, write “Confirm during RFQ.”
Is CAMCUDA selling complete cameras or modules?
CAMCUDA focuses on thermal imaging modules, cores, lens/FOV matching, and OEM integration paths. Some products may be complete observation devices, but engineering pages should distinguish module, core, payload, and finished device clearly.
Interfaces
USB, RS-422, CVBS, and host integration.
Does every CAMCUDA product support CVBS?
No. CVBS analog output support is available on applicable configurations; confirm during RFQ for the exact module, board, firmware, and output path.
Which interface details should we provide?
Send required video output, control communication path, host processor or recorder, connector constraints, latency expectation, power budget, and whether analog video such as CVBS is required.
Documents
Datasheets, statements, SDK, and restricted files.
Is an NDAA certificate available?
Use cautious wording: NDAA statement available on request. Do not describe the product as NDAA certified unless a verified document explicitly supports that claim.
Are SDK, command protocol, DWG, or DXF files public?
These files should usually be shared after RFQ or project review so the document package matches the exact hardware, firmware, interface board, and intended market.
RFQ and ordering
What buyers should send before quotation.
What lens information should be included in an RFQ?
Include product model or target resolution, application, host device, interface, target distance, required lens/FOV, scene width if known, quantity, destination country, compliance needs, schedule, and requested documents.
Can we request documents before purchase?
Public documents can be downloaded directly. Restricted documents such as NDAA statements, protocol files, SDK packages, or CAD source files should be requested through RFQ with project context.
What if the required parameter is uncertain?
If a parameter is not confirmed, write “Confirm during RFQ.” Avoid inventing specifications, certifications, customer cases, test data, or lead times.

Should a UAV thermal camera use a wide or narrow FOV lens?
A wide FOV helps cover more area at short range, while a narrow FOV can support longer-distance inspection. The right choice depends on flight altitude, target size, payload constraints, and image detail requirements.
Can CAMCUDA confirm the final lens during RFQ?
Yes. If the required field of view is uncertain, use “Confirm during RFQ” and provide the application, target distance, interface, and expected quantity.
